The Corporate Support Manager’s role is to supervise and ensure the efficient operation of the company’s personal computers, blackberry devices, network, client servers, databases, and equipment that relates to the corporate offices and corporate functions.  This position is the first contact for the most senior executives in the company supporting their personal technology needs.  This includes working with the local IT staff responsible for monitoring and diagnosing network and hardware problems to ensure service continuity at the executive offices. The Corporate Support Manager will also work closely with the IT executive staff and decision makers in other departments in order to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions as it relates to the corporate office and corporate functions.

 

  • Engage and build a customer relationship with key Senior Level Executives and their administrative staff ensuring IT service continuity.
  • Work with key Corporate offices in support of Senior Executive functions and planning for events where IT support is needed and engaging other IT resources as required
  • Act as a key point of contact through customer relationships as link to the IT organization and functions.
    Acting as IT Change approver for Change management and CI’s impacting executive offices.
    Develop support process and model for Executive Support to include clear communication path for customers.  Working with a single support staff to ensure 24 x 7 contact availability.
    Work with leaders of Service Management group and Global Technology services to continue to improve Service Delivery for all IT customers.
    Manage the process of setting up user workstations, maintain installation documentation and supervise the installation of enterprise desktop application software.
  • Manage desktop environment through the use of client management utilities.
  • Review the inventory of Personal Digital Assistants, coordinating the setup and decommissioning of devices.
  • Participate in the creation  of  technician procedures documentation and work instructions
  • Evaluate  and manage new applications for workstation security and control
  • Lead IT department operational planning and projects, and organize and negotiate the allocation of IT resources as required.
  • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of IT systems, including networks, PCs, operating systems, and associated hardware.
  • Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
  • Manage and provide efficient utilization of IT resources – including personnel and equipment – across the organization.
  • Oversee all reports and documentation related to systems operations.
  • Participate in Change Management process as it impact executive offices.
  • Manage operations staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
  • Analyze existing operations and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Travel required as needed to support Global Senior Leadership team.

BS degree in related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of experience.  MS degree in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of experience.  However a combination of education and experience will be taken into consideration.   Must have experience working as a technologist and directly supporting senior executives with their technology needs.  Must have the ability to manage and collaborate with teams of IT staff and end user functional representatives.  Must possess knowledge of multi-user computer systems, business development application including local area networks.  Must have experience with Blackberry Enterprise servers and Lotus Notes.
